Description

Sh2-163 is a rarely imaged emission nebula located 10,000 light years away in the constellation of Cassiopeia at a declination of +61 degrees. The nebula spans about 15 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a width of 45 light years.

12 micron IR data from the WISE All SKy Survey. Processed with FITS Liberator, PixInsight and Photoshop 2022.
